Canine parvovirus (CPV) infection is a highly contagious canine ailment. Canine parvovirus, namely CPV-2, is the pathogen. The virus mostly affects dogs, particularly puppies. They are highly contagious, have a rapid onset, and have a high mortality rate. Intestinal infection is the most common cause of the disease. Fecal-oral infection is the most common mode of transmission, and susceptible animals are mostly infected by direct or indirect contact. This device uses immunochromatography to swiftly assess whether a dog has been infected with canine parvovirus in feces or vomit samples.
