Acorda.
A DVM graduate from UP Diliman and Doctor of Philosophy from Gifu University Japan, Dr. Acorda also teaches as a professor at UPLB’s Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences while directing the University’s quality assurance office, the Academic Assessment and Development Unit. This department aims to develop a system that will continuously monitor and assess the performance of each academic program within UPLB and provide assistance to programs that are in need.
A renowned agricultural scientist and veterinarian, Dr. Jezie A. Acorda also held various positions in UP Diliman (UPD) and UP Los Baños (UPLB) mostly in research and extension services.
Through his notable achievements that have made significant impact on the lives of animals, public health and the field of veterinary medicine in general, Dr. Jezie has earned prominent awards: Outstanding Young Scientist Award by the National Academy of Science and Technology in 1996, Outstanding Teacher of UPLB in 2009, and Most Outstanding Veterinarian in Academe by the Veterinary Practitioners Association of the Philippines in 2010.
